In 2024, the companion bill to SB886, HB1519 was introduced by Representative Napoleon Nelson with language that mirrors SB886.

 

On January 18, 2024, the House Education Committee passed the bill through to the floor (a huge accomplishment that only 25% of bills get to!)

The house companion bill with language that mirrors SB781 has been reintroduced by Representative Napoleon Nelson on July 8, 2025 as HB1648.
